Driver Registration 2018
2018-05-09 - Any racers that haven't registered yet, you can print off the forms on the website or see Michelle at Charlottetown Bottle and Metals. You can turn them in at either of the 2 scheduled practices or hand them in the first race day. We have had a lot in already and if any info has changed, please advise. We used to do a registration meeting a month before race season, but it makes more sense doing this way as a lot of people couldn't make it or didn't have their sponsors secured so we were constantly updating our paperwork. Hope this works for everyone. Registration is $20.00
Please PRINT clearly so that is clear to read.

2016-01-19 - We wanted to touch base with everyone regarding the recent safety requirements that our insurance company recently sent to the tracks. Oyster Bed Speedway, Petty International Raceway, Riverside International Speedway and Scotia Speedworld are all insured with the same brokerage. Speedway 660 has a different broker, so we didn't know if they have had the same request that the others have.
To review, Stoneridge sent an email on December 21, 2015 outlining a number of safety items that would be required at our tracks. These ranged from helmets, head & neck restraints, seat belts, driver's suits and fuel containment. In this email they indicated that all drivers must wear a full face Snell 2010SA or newer helmet in 2016. DOT and M rated helmets were no longer permitted. The other items will be phased in on a yearly basis until the tracks are compliant.
The insurance provider wants the top divisions at the tracks to have mandated head & neck restraints. The Sportsman division are currently required to have head & neck restraints, as are Legend and Bandolero cars. At our track, Oyster Bed Speedway, Late Model drivers will be mandated to use a head & neck restraint system in 2017. It is also recommended that all drivers should use a head & neck restraint system for their own safety as soon as possible.
2011-03-09 - Race teams and fans are reminded that The Oyster Bed Speedway website is the designated website of our race facility and all official announcements will be made via our website. Other social media (ie.Facebook) is for discussion purposes only and should not be considered as representing the viewpoints of owners and management. Please make the website your first and only stop for official track information and news. We will certainly focus this season at updating and refreshing the website weekly throughout the race season.
